NEPTUNE
NEPTUNE CFD is a french code created by EDF (Électricité de France) and CEA (Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique) as part of the NEPTUNE project aimed at development of the new tools for nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulics symulation and analyses. The code is used for numerical solving and visualisation of the fluid dynamics problems with very accurate geometry modeling. It is the first computational tool dedicated to model the two- and multiphase turbulent flows.
Program offers several possibilities regarding the turbulence model and the flow regimes, including the continuous and dispersed fields of different phases. It is possible to conduct a time visualization and analyze the results with other computational tools, e.g. ParaView. The code requires independent software for the elements geometry and mesh construction, which are afterwards loaded to the input file.
NEPTUNE CFD is to be used for calculation and visualization of the modeling problems of two-phase fluid flow as part of NURESAFE project.
