Research and development works make up an essential part of CIŚ activities. Currently we are conducting research in such fields as safety of operation of nuclear reactors, protection against radiation/chemical hazards, behaviour of complex systems (in particular power grids), physics of fundamental interactions, interaction of ionizing radiation with organic matter, simulations needed by designers of medical equipment.

We are also planning to cooperate with large research facilities such as free electron lasers, and to aid academic community by making our (not busy at the moment) computational resources available for them.
